| How does the shipping process work? That is, once I place an order how long will it take before I receive my shipment? |
| Most orders can be produced within 2-4 weeks.
Once your order has been manufactured and inspected it will generally be shipped via cargo ship. Sea freight takes approximately 16-20 days from seaports in China to the port of Los Angeles. Customs clearance and unloading may take up to an additional 5-8 days. Inland freight (I.e. transport from the port to a regional trucking hub via train) requires an additional 2-3 days. Lastly, final delivery to you via the trucking line may require an additional 5-7 days.
In summary, you should anticipate the entire process will require 6-8 weeks.

| What are the costs involved in importing? |
SWI's "turnkey" service handles every aspect of the importing process so you don't have to. In addition, your order quote will already include all of the importation and documentation fees listed below.
NOTE: Due to the recent volatility of fuel prices all freight quotes are valid for seven (7) days.
- Customs Duty. This is your country's tax on imported products. In the U.S. custom duties range between 1% and 30+%, depending upon the product class.
- Customs broker fees. On average, about $100.00 - $150.00 per shipment.
- Inland freight from the port of entry to your door.
- Document Destination charges (also known as DDC). This is the port of entry's handling charge and it varies from port to port. In general DDC fees run about $30.00 per ton.
- Labor/forklift fee to unload your shipment from the container. On average, about $40.00 per shipment.
- Bond fee. This is required by US Customs to back up payment for the duty tax. Bond fees are set by the dollar value of the shipment. The minimum bond fee is usually around $50.00 and from there the cost increases by some $4.00 per thousand dollars of invoice value.
